WHAT WE DO

Sea Scouts basically do any activity the Ship decides to do! The Crew will plan the event, figure out how to fund it, and do it. One of the skills that are taught are the use of advisors who act as consultants to the crew to provide information & experience.

Here are some of the things we have done in the past:

Field trips to places such as the Intrepid Aerospace Museum in New York City and the Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic Ct.
Marched in parades
Rowing historic Whitehall Gigs with Floating the Apple in New York City
Participated in Sail for America
Aquaculture projects to rebuild the ecosystem where we sail
Obtained a boat operators permit to operate small boats in New Jersey
Attended the North East Region Bridge of Honor. This is a major awards dinner amd dance held annually
Attended the The Tsunami Gam on June 10,11 2000
Trained on safely operating our vessel, Seahorse
Holiday parties!
