Welcome
to Sea Scout Ship 110
Sea Scouting is
a co-education program offered to young adults between the ages of 14 and 21.
Learn to sail, to row, and to keep you and our boats in shape. Sail the local waters or cruise far from home.
Everyone gets to share the sailing, navigation, cooking and cleanup. You can
learn to snorkel or Scuba dive, to fish, to splice line, to sail a dingy, and
to water ski. You can participate in a color guard. You'll be active in training, social events,
tours, regattas, excursions, and seamanship contests.
We have many resources available – it’s up to you to take
the initiative. This is a program where the youth must take an active lead in
planning and doing things; adults are advisors and a safety net. Scouting is a
“learn by doing” program.
Sea Scouting is organized to promote better citizenship and
to improve members' boating skills and knowledge through instruction and
practice in water safety, boating skills, outdoor, social, and service experiences,
and knowledge of our maritime heritage. You'll also have a chance to develop
leadership as well as maritime skills that can lead to careers later on.
