EVENTS CALENDAR

DecemberGeorge at the helm with Mr. Wolin and Fred
12/01 Friday-Jason will be starting his lifeguard class for George, Michelle, Clara, Javier, Marie, Graham and Kevin.  Danny ,are you in on this? Please let us know ASAP.
All learners MUST be at all sessions in order to receive the Red Cross certification. The class begins promptly at 7 PM so the Q-Deck should make plans to turn the meeting over to the mates during the bottom half of the hour.

12/02-Saturday-Popcorn pickup and delivery. We will get the popcorn in the AM. Karla will arrange for a pick-up site in Manhattan where you can go get your order. 

12/08-Friday-Wreath Day.  There will not be a regular meeting due to the distribution of wreaths from our wreath sale. Lifeguard people leave early. There will be no swimming for the rest of the ship that night. 

12/09- Ship 63, Staten Island, has invited me and whatever members of the Q-deck as can attend to join them for their commissioning ceremony. 10 AM to noon. Richmond County Yacht Cub, Staten Island. Dress uniform is required.

JANUARY
PLEASE NOTE! The Murphy Center will be closed for renovations sometime during this month. We have been offered space in the temporary building that they will be erecting over half the field while renovations progress, but we are actively looking to move the ship to another site if we can. We should have an answer on this issue before Christmas.

5th-8th- Training in Catoctin, MD. George and I are attending this. We have room for one or two more people. For the rest of the ship it will be a regular meeting.
11th-Thursday-Big Apple Round table meeting at the BSA HQ, Empire State Building.
12th-Friday-Board of review for our boy Scouts and Sea Scouts.
13th-Sat- New York State Boating Course for new members.
20th-Sat- Swim Day at the Durland Scout center, Rye, NY. The day will feature swim instruction, snorkel certification and scuba introduction.

FEBRUARY
We need a deadline date for the journal ads.
3rd-Sat- BSA Advancement Rally
9th-Fri- Board of Review (re-charter papers) also, uniform inspection night & practice for Bridge of Honor.
15th-Thurs- Big Apple Re charter Night (Skipper and Mrs. McGuigan only)
16th-Fri- Practice Bridge of honor. Re-inspection for those who did not get passes last week.
24th- Sat-  Bridge Of Honor.

MARCH
17th-18th-Camp out.Danny on the bow watch! (Please note that I will not be at this one, nor will I be present that preceding Friday. the National Art Education Association is having its annual conference that week)
31st-Sat- Regional bridge of Honor and Sea Scout Ball. (for scouts 14 and older)
We will be staying overnight and returning on Sunday April 1st
