The Chesapeake Sea Scout Flotilla  participates each year in the Baltimore Parade of Lighted Boats.  This event is held in early December of each year to benefit the Marine Corp Toys for Tots program.  Participating boats are decorated with Christmas lights and compete against each other for the "best design" as they sail through Baltimore's Inner Harbor. 

This years event is scheduled for 4 December 2010.  The Flotilla's training vessel, der PeLiKan will be decorated in the afternoon (1300 show time) with departure from the dock around 1700.  Past events have included pizza and hot chocolate onboard during the parade followed by a sleep over afterwards on the boat.  Pictures of our winning 2000 design are shown below.
