2012 Chesapeake Flotilla Catoctin Winter Training Weekend
Friends of Sea Scouts of Maryland, Inc. is sponsoring the Eighteenth Annual Sea Scouting Training weekend from Friday, 2 March to Sunday, 4 March, 2012 at Camp Round Meadow, Catoctin Mountain Park, near Thurmont, MD.
This training event is for both Sea Scouts and adult leaders and will include Advancement Training, Adult Leader Training, SEAL Preparation Training, Small Boat Handler Qualifications, and sailing skills. In addition to the training, there will be social activities including a dance on Saturday evening. Berthing will be in dormitories and cafeteria-style meals will be served. Come out and make new friends and network with other ships.
Remember to submit your unit applications no later than 19 January, 2012 to reserve training quotas for your ship. In addition to your applications, please submit your youth or adult class selection sheets and mail them no later than 16 February, 2012 to the Event Manager.
