Date:  9-11 May, 2008

Time:  Early Friday afternoon to Sunday at 1600 plus a 1.5 hour meeting the week prior to the course.

Course Description:  Students learn Sea Scout cruise meal planning, provisioning and preparation, galley and food safety, including menu planning, shopping list development, shopping, repackaging and marking, stowage and stowage plan, breakouts, mis-en-place, work space management, and assembly-line team preparation.  Also included in the course is washing up, sanitation, heavy weather cooking, and in the process learn a few sea-proven dishes and techniques for making quick, simple meals interesting (including SPAM!)

There are no pre-requisites for this course.  Meals and berthing is aboard the training ship der PeLiKan.  For registration or information contact the course director.
